R-15 FALL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Fall Door Decoration Contest
Foothills
Daylily Society invites (and encourages) R-15 clubs and/or individuals to
participate in a fall door decoration contest at our Oct. 5-6 meeting. This could be anything that one might enjoy
displaying for the fall season. Pretty
or imaginative wreaths are always nice, but you could think outside the box and
come up with something totally different—something whimsical, or something
specific to fall holidays (Halloween or Thanksgiving). No price range—just the challenge of entering
something you or someone else would be proud to have and display.
2.
Foothills
Fantasy Photo Favorites Funfest
All
registrants for the R-15 fall meeting are invited to participate in our Friday
evening entertainment—the Foothills Fantasy Photo Favorites Funfest. You may enter up to five of your favorite
photos from this season in each of the two categories for a maximum of ten
photos: “Dazzling Daylily Depictions” and “Gorgeous R-15 Gardens.” The first
can be shots of individual daylily blooms, clumps, multiple blooms, or artistic
shots of flowers. The latter can be
landscapes featuring daylilies, people in daylily gardens, or artistic
interpretations of daylily gardens. Everyone present will have a ballot and
everyone will get to vote in each of the two categories. Winning entries may
not necessarily be the BEST photos—just the ones that get the most votes as
audience favorites.

each shot with your name as the photographer and some
kind of identifying title—something catchy or simply with the name of the
cultivar or garden.
